Laya
Life's irregular routines
Some things have no due date, only a rhythm: the water filter every few months, a call home every week, a haircut every month or so. Laya keeps a tile for each. As its time comes round, the tile turns from sage to a warm amber and rises to the top. When you have done it, press and hold the tile, and it sinks back to rest.

A look inside
What it does
A tile for each routine
- A loose rhythm for each: about a week, two weeks, a month, three months, six months, a year, or your own number of days
- The colour moves from sage through ochre to amber as the time comes round, and never turns red
- One ring, then two, then three with a dot: the phase is clear without the colour too
- What has come full circle rises to the top; what you have just tended rests at the bottom
Tending
- Press and hold a tile when it is done, or tap it if you prefer
- It freshens, then sinks slowly to rest, with a soft sound if you like
- Undo for thirty seconds
- Note an earlier day, and a few words of what was done
It learns your rhythm
- After three times it knows how often you really do it, and offers that as the rhythm; it never changes it by itself
- Everything you have tended, day by day, in a Diary that counts what was done, never what was missed
- Groups (Home, People, Self, Vehicle, Plants, Papers), search, and putting a tile away
Calm by design
- No alarms, no due dates, no streaks. In the Android app, one gentle note a week, only if you turn it on
- Light and dark, and text that can be made larger
